| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2010 Thanks to my Honkeybra for this one. Even hot from the nose. Head went away in a instant. Lots of sweet dark fruits on the nose with some sharpie marker, burnt wood and the flavor. Incredibly intense and pretty damn good, but also overrated. Still glad I tried it. Tasted up against DH1 and the Nogne Imp Stout, at the DH1 was the winner. Pours black with minimal head. Alcohol comes through on the nose, also some port, and chocolate. Taste of more chocolate, port. liquorice, molasses. Not nearly as smooth as the DH1, has a lingering bitter finish.
