COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the beginning, there was nothing. Then an impish brewer piled a ludicrous amount of hops into a batch of beer. This zymurgical big bang is Epic Armageddon, an apocalyptic assault on your preconceptions and taste buds. It may be too huge for this fragile planet so enjoy this beer like it was the last one on Earth.
EBC (SRM): 15
HOPS: US Cascade, US Centennial, US Columbus, US Simcoe
MALT: English pale ale, Caramalt

jbruner (9244) - Lakewood, California, USA - MAR 21, 2024
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2024 Pours a clear golden orange on tap with dense off-white foam that leaves good lace. Aroma of stone fruit and pine hop notes with hints of guava, dare I say a touch of caramel malt behind. Taste is moderately bitter from the hops, lightly sweet from the malt, catty but crisp. Nicely done IPA.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2022 330ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear medium amber colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt and citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, grainy, dank, resin, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

digby (100) - NEW ZEALAND - JUL 11, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2021 Opening the can, by senses were met with fresh citrus, mango, pine needles. Darker amber color with a one fingered white head that ; dissipated fast. Good steady carbonation. Upon tasting there is a taste explosion over every surface of the upper mouth, then the slight burn of alcohol. The lingering bitterness begs for you to have another drink. Very refreshing IPA, clean and crisp. I could drink this all the time. Would pair well with most foods except sweet dessert.

hauxe (4000) - Butzbach, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2021 Amber with a frothy, white head. Caramel aroma with a melange of tropical fruits underneath, but also goes in a somewhat floral direction. Taste is bittersweet up front, bitter at the back with a modest hops kick. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation, nice creamy feel. Nice.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2021 Discover the little secrets of a good sister and open the bottle: Aroma: strong, although it is an empire IPA, it is not only fruity, but also very caramelized Wine body: clear, dark gold and amber color is very pleasing, but I this cup did not make how much foam, maybe my sister is not good this one, not how to cooperate ha ha ha Palate: thick, smooth and aromatic. The mouth is full of toffee, even with the hops on the fruit, like a piece of citrus sugar. The syrup melts and flows into the mouth, with a slight sweetness. At the end, it is very bitter, and the finish is just right, with the fruit of lychee and fructose sweetness. Girl's secret and worry too much, in the dead of night when heart-to-heart talk, well persuade.

jgb9348 (10811) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUL 24, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 24, 2020 Clear, light amber and copper coloured body with a very thin, off-white head. Tons of small bubbles rising from the bottom are noticeable as well. Aroma of very bright hops, malt, caramel and some subdued nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavour throughout with a good malty and balanced kick that shows through as well and some mild sugars come out. Aftertaste is clean and bitter from the hops, of course, with a very nice kick in flavour that ends the entire beer nicely. Overall, a very nice beer that really shows off New Zealand's quality beer producers! This one was great for me to try! I sampled this 500 mL bottle, purchased at the New World Grocery [store] in Auckland, New Zealand on 22-August-2009, sampled later that same day on 22-August-2009, during one of the stops on my honeymoon, some eleven years ago! I found this paper rating in my paperwork for my honeymoon, and as I was throwing away excess items, I found this and realized that I never rated this, nor have had it in the eleven intervening years. Cheers to my wife and I, still happily married, and while we haven't visited New Zealand in those past eleven years, we do have three kids now.
