170 ml bottle from 1993 thanks to JHop. Dark Dark pour with no head. Not much phsss when opened either. Aromas were dark fruit and roasted malts. Flavor was a touch of sherry. Surely oxidized a bit, but it wasn’t bad. I could still get the flavors underneath. More dark fruit and chocolate. Very full mouthfeel. Very Good.

#1700! 1993 vintage via trade with FrumptyDumpty! - Thanks! - Pours black with not much head at all. Big aroma of raisins, black currant, roasted malts, chocolate, and light coffee. Flavor is raisin, black currant, plum, roasted malts, chocolate, and a touch of coffee. Full bodied with not much carbonation. Nice to get to try something that is as old as my oldest daugher though.. Pretty worthwhile of #1700..

Bottle at Kulminator 1983 vintage thanks to maeib. Black, slightly musty but wonderful aroma. Lots of juicy tar. Really great dark fruit.

Bottled - Kulminator- Antwerpen - 1983 vintage. A totally black coloured beer with a small ring of tan coloured bubbles. The aroma is vinuous and oily. Licquorice notes and signs of mustiness. The taste is intense. Soy sauce notes. Dry but not over roasty. Thick, gloopy and very sippable. A gorgeous beer.

Bottle thanks to Jannik, Lars and Jan. This was a vintage from 1983. I think it a little over the hill but still very very nice. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, earth, coffee, dark fruits and slightly alcoholic.

1978 bottle with a slightly rusty cap but still had gas (thanks to John Moody.) Aroma: metal, earthy and barnyard all massively evident. Appearance: black with red highlights. Flavour: metallic, some funkiness, chocolate, spiritous and coffee. Palate: oily and lightly carbonated but very thick. Overall Amazing its still alive after 28 years.

My number 1000 had to be something special. This was bottled in 1980 and part of a batch that I saved for a rainy day. Twenty six years on and it was with some anticipation that I opened the nip sized bottle. It poured dark brown and looked a little sludge like. No carb anmd tasted a little port like. Lingering fruitiness but no real life and left some sediment. No doubt at its peak it was a superb beer but now its just something different.Mind you I was a bit different too when I bought it all those years ago!
