3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at pour house, Clearish gold shade, well carbonated, nice malt grain and light flower hop. A touch bitter, really balanced and well done crisp Pilsner. Victory needs to make more of this and less of their hoppy offerings.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear pale yellow with a large, creamy white head...lively...nixe retention and lacing. Aroma has a nice balance between slightly sweet grains/cereal and mild grassy/spicy hops. Flavor or follows suit...nice hops character that has just a hint of melon and rind to go with grassy/spicy noble hop - like characteristics. Mouthfeel is full and silky with a dry rindy/spicy/minerally finish. Another awesome Victory pils.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a nice gold colour with a little white head and lacing. Earthy, belgiumy aroma, with citrus tones, even hints of lavender. Begins malty, has a floral citrus hop in the middle, again hints of lavender. finishes dry almost nutty. I like this beer a lot. Nice easy drink.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Clear golden-orange, moderate white head good lacing
S: Nice european floral hops, light citrus notes..
T: Floral hops come through at the beginning, good citrus hints... nicely balanced with the malt base
M: Smooth, crisp, light bite at the finish. Medium-light body.
O: Easy drinking. I prefer the Saphir pills over the Hallertau pils. Nice addition to the lineup at Victory

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Bottleworks. Something odd about this beer. Nose has something earthy or fecal to it. Not entirely pleasant. otherwise much as expected, earthy, spicy, above-average hoppiness, round, classic, slightly butery palate. Okay, not as exceptional as I had expected.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Blonde, crisp carbonation, spritely with a light, lacey head. Neutral hoppy, on the floaral side. European hop flavor, bittered honey. Crisp, refreshing, generally not my style, but another well-crafted, commendable pilsener from Victory.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ Victory: This one pours a fairly clear, golden color. There was a large white head on it that left some lacing. The aroma is good. It was grassy, floral and had some faint pine notes. The taste starts out a touch fruit but not sweet. Then the dryness takes over. A nice bitter finish, with a hint of pine. A very good beer!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 19, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Second best beer of the night after another pilsener that is unamed in the database here. Fresh, grassy aroma. Strikingly clean and mellow body, with a fresh hoppy twang, clean citrus fruits like lemon and orange are in the mix somewhere. Exceptionally balanced and delicious. The hoppier of the two pilseners I sampled tonight at Victory.
