Bottle from SPAR, Hainburg. Amber color with small white head. Aroma of honey and caramel. Taste, roasted malt, some fruit, caramel. Not bad.

Ouch! At first blink it’s like Leikeim Steinbier what i taste before. I mean that its aroma is stone-like. Afterwards the taste turns into some caramelic maltiness. But it is weak. Fortunately, because of the stone-feeling. Hardly drinkable. One positve thing: the appaerance: nice amber sparkling colour with some beige frothy head.

KyotoLefty (15093) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 23, 2010
Bottle in Vienna. Schnitt seems to be a half-and-half. I suppose it is their Dunkel “cut” (schnitt) with their Helles. Decent stuff. It is unpasteurized. It is a good mix, darker, maltier and fuller-bodied than a helles, yet not as sweet and heavy as their dunkel. A little strange, but a well-balanced, tasty beer.

bottle, pours deep gold, light amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is carmel malt and sweet bread. Flavor is nice with bready malts and a little bit of smoke ending with a bitter biscuit malt and moderate hop bite.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and nuts, as well as a light touch of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of butterscotch, lemon, and hops.

Bottle 50cl. @ TFODRBSG 2008, Ulfborg, Denmark
Clear medium to dark amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (230808)

Bottle, shared by thewolf. A clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Bready and malty nose, quite boring, but at least not bad. Malty flavor with bread, some fruityness and a hoppy bitterness. Medium body and a decent bitterness in the finish. I would certainly like more fruityness in this one, more of everything actually, it’s a rather boring one. (080823)

Papsoe (25039) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 29, 2008
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of thewolf. Aroma of roasted malt with a whiff of caramel. Medium body with lightly sweet roasted malt. The finish is dry without much bitterness. 230808
