UPDATED: DEC 15, 2022 Das Raschhofer Zwickl war im 9. Türchen des Kalea Adventskalenders Edition Österreich. Der Geruch ist unangenehm metallisch und ansonsten getreidig. Da das Bier oft mit dem European Beer Star prämiert wurde, gehe ich von einem Einzelfall aus. Hell bernsteinfarben und opal im Glas mit ordentlicher Krone ist nichts zu beanstanden. Beim Antrunk tolles Umami und trotzdem hoch rezent. Dabei leicht süß. Das Gewürz begleitet das Trinken, es dominiert es nicht. Beim Abgang eine starke eingebremste Bitterkeit die das Bier toll abrundet. Ein weiches Zwickl mit guter Drinkability. 12-2021

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2022 Bottle from the brewery online, hazy yellow-brown with a settling foam and a malty-sweet and hoppy-dry nose. Rather short bodied, initially sweetish then almost instantly dry and earthy-bitter. Alright but oddly unsatisfying.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2022 Die Optik zeigt sich orange-golden mit einer deutlichen Trübung, welche jedoch noch einen leichten Glanz im Glas zulässt. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt kaum Konsistenz und fällt rasch in sich zusammen. Die Nase wird von getreidiger Malzaromatik und floralen bis leicht honigartigen Aromen umschmeichelt. Einfach, aber gut. Der Antrunk wirkt spritzig, in erster Linie hopfenaromatisch und herb mit leichten Malznoten. Am Gaumen gestalten sich die Aromen malzig und leicht würzig mit einer gut eingebundenen Hopfenherbe. Als durchaus gut kann man die weiche Haptik dieses Bieres benoten. Dadurch ergeben sich ein Trinkgefühl, sowie eine Süffigkeit, die absolut okay sind. Im gut anhaltenden Nachtrunk dominieren die getreidige Malzigkeit, sowie leichte Hefenoten. Mein Fazit: Ein durchaus gutes Zwickel.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2022 Bottle 0,33L. Light hazy golden color with small white head. Aroma of bread, malt, yeast and banana. Taste is light sweet and bready with some fruitiness at the end of the sip. Lively carbonation adds a peppery aftertaste. Medium body, dry texture.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2022 Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dall'orzo. La finezza olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma dalla buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il liquido si presenta nuvoloso. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è nella media. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, pane, cereali ed erbaceo.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2021 Golden with a small head.Pleasant slightly dry hoppy flavour with a medium body.Well balanced and an excellent example of this style.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2021 Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from HOTM. Pours lightly unclear gold with a creamy, white head. Nice rich bready character, mellow sweetness, biscuits, low bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bready malts to finish, biscuits, cereal, hay, a little dough. Very drinkable gear.
