Soft vanilla and a bit of cocoa with a kiss of light herbal character. The flavour shows a light peppery booziness over a light bourbon sweetness. There is a touch of rye-like spiciness and a little bit of cocoa on the back. Easy to drink with a nice combination of the malt and the barrel. Soft and sweet but fairly complex. Pretty tasty. yobdoog (1543), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

A little thin. Flavor is mellow, caramel malts and little bourbon and vanilla. Good and smooth but light. GodOfThunder (893), Orlando, Florida, USA

Bottle: The aroma consists of light chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, and faint oak. It pours a hazy orangish-brown with a small beige head. The flavor starts with chocolate. It finishes with mild bourbon, vanilla, and a hint of nuttiness. Very smooth and drinkable. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2009 From C&P Throwdown. Pours a dark brown with a puffy tan head. Big woody oaky nose with tons of caramel and chocolate. A slight hint of bourbon but its well integrated. Perfect carbonation which is fairly low for a brown ale. Pretty heavy mouthfeel for a brown ale. Rich and decadent. This is really great for a brown ale. miketd (687), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2009 Bottle at CPLYFO throwdown. Dark brown with a redish glow. Tanish head. Caramel and chocolate kick you in the face and bourbon is right there. Very roasty malts. Bourbon gives it an almost but not quite sour characteristic. Really woody. Dig it SONNNN! Another winner from Brooklyn!
