| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 22, 2008 750 ml bottle. An unclear medium amber beer with a medium sized and disappearing white head. The aroma is rustic and nicely hoppy, with notes of bread, hay, oranges, flowers. The flavour is very balanced between its ingredients. Again flowery and fruity. There is a balanced acidity. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry long finish with medium bitterness and the alcohol is well hidden. A great beer, apart some problem with the uncorking because part of the beer is gone after the expolosion at the opening of the bottle. I will have this again. Huge gushing bubbly beer, dirty amber gold. Musty basement, dried straw, chamomile, citrus fruit, dry herbal finish. Complex and delicious. RCL (1584), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2008 As soon as I loosened the cage there was a loud POP and the cage and cork shot about 6 feet into the air. It scared the hell out of me. Watch out! Not surprisingly it poured with a huge white head. Citrus, yeast and earthy, musty aromas. Flavors of citrus, yeast, spices. Light/medium body with prickly carbonation and a dry finish. A very good saison. jcr (1231), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 25, 2008 750 ml bottle. Solid, classic and easy drinking. Huge, pillowy, white mergengue head that lasts. Hazy dark yellow body. As appealing an appearance as I think you can find. The aroma has notes of grain, hay and straw as well as celery, grass and herbs. That is all wrapped in an earthiness and hint of clove and cinnamon. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter and moderately acidic. Dry finish. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. The alcohol takes a backseat to everything else, but still warms you. Careful not to gulp this one. Outstanding.
