Dark liquid, light tan head which will linger a while. Creamy... chocolate and slight coffee taste. Roasty caramel or bread malt notes. Lingering finish. Very nice.

I honestly do not want to give this such a high rating, but I have to! The Taddy Porter, which I thought would be average at best, is actually really smooth and drinkable. Very creamy and sweet, but I’m not sure this is what a traditional porter should taste like. Good job Mr. Smith.

( 12oz bottle) pours murky deep brown with ruby highlights. Creamy head on top. Nose of dark fruits, oats, roasted barley, and sweetness. Taste of roasted nuts, weak coffee, cream, and light bitterness. Nice creamy finish and a slightly watery body with great carbonation.

Bottle bought at Norway’s Vinmonopolet. Thick head which disappeared rather quickly. Very dark, almost black, deep red if held up against a light. Slightly caramel & coffee flavoured maltyness, bitter with a tiny hint of citrus in the body. Roasted. Soft, oily slick palate. Quite heavy in my mouth.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours black with dark brown highlights and small beige head. Taste is roasted malt and some slightly bitter coffee. The body is a little thin and finishes slightly dry. Pretty good porter.

335 ml bottle. Black body with a big, creamy beige head that disappears relatively fast. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, some smoke, dark, bitter chocolate, dry fruit and bitter coffee. Full body, and a long and bitter finish with roast. Complex and quite robust to be at only 5% ABV.

16.9 oz. Pours a medium brown turning to a deep, deep brown in glass. Thin head, minor retention. Has a very chocolaty, roast, sweet malt aroma. Light chocolate flavor, bit of fruit (cherry), and then roast at the end. Not much noticeable bitterness or hop flavor/aroma. Medium-thick body with a light syrup texture, low carbonation.
