Pour from a 355ml bottle. Dark brown in color with a nice tan head. Thinnish head, but its there as well as some lacing. Clean malt and a touch of toffee and caramel in the nose. Quite drinkable, some roasted malt, burnt toffee and a nice dry finish. Highly enjoyable, would like to try it fresh and unpasteurized.

magpieken (70) - - DEC 4, 2014
550ml bottle. Pours a deep ruby brown colour with a creamy tan head which lasted well and left lace plimsoll lines on drinking. Roasted malt aroma with hints of dark chocolate. Initial mild sweetness develops into a moderate roasted character and then into a lingering medium bitterness. Medium body and creamy texture. Very easy drinking. One for those that appreciate dark chocolate.

Rich and tasty that needs to get some air before enjoying. A good meal in one bootle.

Zlotta (99) - Bonn, GERMANY - DEC 1, 2014
0,355 l bottle from Kaufhof. Pitch-black with a thick, foamy, stable, tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee with vinous notes in the end. Not very intense though. Taste of dark roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Nice. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, short, light bitter finish. Overall a good beer which lacks a bit of intensity. Considering it has just 5 % ABV, it is relatively complex.
