UPDATED: APR 27, 2021 This is a backlog rating from years ago from a bottle purchased at Party Source, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are wheat malts, bready, citrus, light spice, ok.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2021 Aroma; citric stuff, wheat malt, caramel, straw, citrus, banana, coriander, other spices, yeast. Look; off white dense head, on misty dark golden body. Taste; citric notes, wheat malt, caramel, straw, citrus, banana, coriander, other spices, dough, and finishes to the malted side. Feel; okay body and co². Overall; nice blanche. [poured sample from a bottle from abroad, Germany maybe, T@Thirstday-Thursday at home near PivotekaH7. Cheers!]

11/11/2018 @ sample of 33cl bottle on Vergeten Bieren tasting @ Brouwerij Smisje shared with Koen and the brewer himself. 2012 version. Clear blonde, medium white head. Nose is still fresh, fruity. Taste is malts, citrus, orange, wattery cognac undertone.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of light malt and orange citrus. Dirty cloudy medium amber color, white head cover, no lace. Taste is tart orange and malt that adds a burst of edgy carbonation on the swallow followed by light spice and bittering in a long finish. Not really in the Witbier tradition, and not quite balanced or appealing enough to have more than one.

chinchill (6216) - South Carolina, USA - OCT 27, 2015
330ml bottle with most, but not all sediment added in the pour, leaving the body clear but with light hazing and some visible particulates. Large bubbly head soon dies down to a top coat. Malt, citrus and yeast dominate the spicy aroma. The flavor adds mild bitterness and more orange and lemon notes. O: excellent, complex and a bit funky for style.

Alengrin (11018) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 3, 2014
Somewhat special witbier, at least bolder than the Hoegaarden standard, with fresh orange peel used and dominating the nose, very refreshing, fluffy and soft mouthfeel, wheat sourishness, lots of citrus again but not over the top, coriander as usual, very thirst-quenching. Has more body than I’m used to from the style. Very good example, firm and characterful.

Bitterbill (3241) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - SEP 28, 2014
A great looking brew with a 2 finger head of foam sitting on a slightly hazy golden liquid. Spicy as heck with big coriander, cloves, wheat and orange. The taste is a tad milder than the smell. More of a balance between the spices and the orange fruit. Still, it’s testing my palate. Nice mouth feel for the style. This bursts with flavour but it isn’t something that I’d seek out again.

Pours a moderate. hazy dull yellowish. A one finger soapy head. Lots of lemon on the nose. Hundreds of tiny fast bubbles. Medium mouthfeel. Light creaminess. A little prickly from the carbonation. Nice sweetness looming on the swallow. Dry finish. Very refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
