A powerful beer but the sweetness is way too overwhelming and one-dimensional. Serve it cold and e.g. as an aperitif with a slice of lemon. ChristianScheffel (4920), Odense, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 12, 2004 I was intrigued by this beer, particularly the high alcohol content. Sweetish nose with a big whiff of alcohol, rich gold color, tall spongy head. Sweet honey malt and maybe something like raspberry in the background. A faint tinge of hops at the very end. Alcohol is very noticeable in the swallow. Full rich body and a creamy mouthfeel. YogiBeera (2438), Hamburg, Germany

The taste of alcohol is way to penetrating, it's almost like drinking pure alcohol. The aroma too is very alcoholic. Last time I had this beer (at Carlsberg at a beer seminar) they served it with a piece of lime! Normally lime and beer dos not suit each other, but in this case it took just the top of the alcoholic taste and made it a little more drinkable. madsberg (5427), Søborg, Denmark
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 12, 2003 Bottled: Amber coloured. Not much head. Sweet, hoppy and loads of alcahol in the nose. Hops, maltsweetness and a distinct alcaholtaste in the flavour. Not much bitterness in the end but some alcaholsweetness. Not my cup of beer. Hansen (2502), Randers SØ, Denmark
