UPDATED: JUL 18, 2023 Versata nel bicchiere mostra una schiuma bianca, cremosa ma poco persistente; l’aroma ha una buona intensità e porta con sé sentori di malto e miele. In bocca la dolcezza dell’attacco è intensa e viene ripresa, ma mai del tutto bilanciata, solo nel finale, dopo una breve corsa; i sentori sono ancora quelli del malto e del miele. Il corpo è leggero e rotondo, la carbonazione buona pulisce bene la bocca; la gradazione alcolica, più elevata di una normale lager, risulta ben nascosta. Complessivamente è una birra gradevole e fresca che sconta solo una certa semplicità di gusti ed un leggero sbilanciamento verso il dolce. Da abbinare a piatti dal sapore deciso, stufati e carni soprattutto.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2023 Can 0,50L. Clear golden color with small white head. Aroma of bread, malt and some light hops. Taste is light sweet, malty and caramely with light bitter, bock like finish. Medium body, soft carbonation oily texture. I expected it to be more boozy for it's 9% ABC. Not that bad.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2022 Beer with dark gold color, clear aspect, light body, light to medium bitterness, soft carbonized, no foam on top (bought a 35,5 cl bottle of beer at 'Coop', Mazzin, IT #1382)(#21 ENG)(#1 Bedfordshire).

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2022 Bottle from local convenience store in Kingswear. It's now only 7.5%, possibly to do with licencing taxation. Appearance - golden with a white head. Nose - sweet bread, caramel and honey. Taste - sweet caramel and bread again. Palate - medium bodied, fairly sweet with just a hint of dryness on the finish. Overall - not as bad as expected/remembered, but a bit simple. You'd expect a strong beer to be a bit more complex with ester notes. More of a Heller Bock than a Pils.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2022 355ml bottle from Conad. Brewed in Germany, and 9% in strength. Clear, light amber with a foamy white head that quickly died away. Great aroma, flavour is caramel with fruit and spice

UPDATED: APR 20, 2022 UK version. It tastes better than most common lagers - very drinkable and inoffensive. Super smooth mouthfeel and full-bodied, with decent carbonation. Sweet toffee malts, dried fruit/raisin notes, faint hop undertone. Hoppy, brown bread finish. I don't understand the hate. It's no premium craft beer, but it beats the other cheap lagers. It's like if McEwans Champion was a lager.
