3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A really good, surprisingly good English-style Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale. The flavor is completely unique, and delicious.

"not a bad ale. it’s nice to get something other than a wheat beer from them. it doesn’t separate itself, but does the standard well, and therefore is a little better than average."

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear darker amber with small white head. Aroma is mostly malty. Toasty. Light bready. Earthy. Grain. Something vegetal. Flavor much the same. Thin body. Pretty dry. Not my thing. Not a big fan of the style either I spose.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: The body has a deep amber color with a light haze. Sitting on top is a small white head that quickly fades out leaving only thin ring of lacing.Smell: In its aroma I get bready maltiness balanced by some herbal and citrus hops. Taste / Palate: The flavor mirrors the aroma with a base of bready maltiness mixed with citrus and herbal hop bitterness. The palate feels smooth and light which makes for a easy drinking beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance has a light ruby red/brown color supporting a healthy head leaving fair lace. Smell of light specialty grains and floral hops. Taste has the malt with a hoppy zip to it leaving a resiny aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium light with good carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from the Spring variety pack. Aroma is malty, orange circus peanuts, bready. Pours almost clear copper with a one finger cream-colored head with decent retention. Taste is bittersweet with a lingering bitter finish. Has the flavor of an English pale ale, but then that bitterness hits, which is very APA. It’s like a hybrid of the two styles. Mouthfeel is creamy, finely carbonated. Flawed, but not terrible.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Nose is rather hoppy, with a lot of grass and herb elements that combine for a bit of earthiness. Taste is only a little bitter, and ends up feeling fairly light. However, there’s nothing terribly remarkable about this beer. Meh.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Brought out of retirement for the Spring variety 12-pack... Jesus, it is hard to believe it has been 10 years since I had one of these. Pours with a 2 finger off white sorta foamy looking head... the brew is clear polished amber... splotchy lacing.
Floral/lightly citrus hops are nicely balanced by a bigger than expected pale malt presence that is also carrying a bit of caramel and toasty notes.
Starts a bit sweeter than I normally like, but it moves seamlessly into floral hops... just enough bitterness to really balance it all out... finishes with a lingering perfumy hoppiness.
Body seems a bit bigger than most standard APA’s... Still pretty drinkable and goes down easily.
No flaws really, it just seems like this one shows the age of when it was first brewed and now seems antiquated.
