Embrouille (2879) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 15, 2010
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Laurent Mousson. Agressive, imposing nose which is dominated by spices. I like the taste better. Great lacework.

Bov (14982) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 15, 2010
courtesy of Laurent Mousson - clear brown colour with a poor head retention; powerful and overwhelming spicy aroma: anise, cloves and cinnamon; medium-bodied and moderately carbonated; very bitter and dry, long spicy finish with some hoppy notes hidden behind - totally unbalanced and definitely too spicy; too bad because the beer behind is quite nice

Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, coriander and orange peal. Flavour follows the nose. Medium bitter aftertaste.

Clear amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of butter, weak port and grainy notes. A flavor of malt and prunes.

3.3
MiP (20004) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2010 EsBF09. Quite malty aroma, a bit funky or yeasty. Cloudy dark brown colour, a bit muddy. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is quite sweet, has a bit of yeast like many Belgian beers. The flavour is also muddy. Hint of spice, hard to say if it is from the yeast or added spices. 5 3 5 3 8

Bottle, app. a year later. Very spicy aroma, christmas spices, all right. The flavour is still sweet with some Belgian yeast, but also plenty of spices. Not bad at all. 7 3 7 3 15

Christian (17296) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 26, 2009
Amber with a small off-white head. Muddy and yeasty aroma with pepper and plastic phenols mostly. Sweet malty flavour with some chocolate and a husk-like acrid finish.
