UPDATED: MAY 10, 2019 Sweet malt candy aroma. Murky red brown colour poor head and lacing. Caramel vanilla malt flavour very sweet. Smooth pale chocolate aftertaste.

A bit too old, notes of oxidation are quite present, intense honey and some cardboard, meidum body, carbonation is very soft, better in the mouth with some caramel, spices and honey notes...yes definitely a bit too old.

This bottle is a few years old, maybe 10+, hope it is still holding up. Dug deep in the cellar to find this. The aroma is caramel, licorice, dates. Pours a copper brown with fully diminishing tan head and very good lacing. The taste is a medium/light bitter-sweet. The body is medium, the texture thin but a little creamy, the carbonation soft and the finish a light bitter. Hints of a DAMN GOOD beer, probably sat on this a little too long but still enjoyable.

22oz bottle picked up in 2010 at JB's in Spokane
Pours clear dark brown with a small beige head, some lacing. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar and leather. Flavor of caramel, oak, brown sugar, leather and mild alcohols
This held up great.

Bomber into wine glass. Red mahogany color (very petty!) Scant cream head. Oak, light brown sugar, cherry cola nose. In the mouth, cola sweetness continues. Cherry villa aged in oak? Not sticky sweet, so it’s not bad. Not a profile I’d usual go for, but it works. Not a lot of hops, manages to avoid a sticky finish and is pretty clean.

Bottle. It poured a dark amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of oak, toffee, caramel, and vanilla. The taste was similar to the aroma with more oak, vanilla, caramel, chocolate and a hint of creme brulee. Very nice.

22 oz. bottle from notes. Pours a hazy reddish amber brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had sweet caramel malts, brown sugar, oak, cookie dough, some mild earthy character, alcohol present, OK, but not in line with most of their big beers at the time.

[6666-20140816] Bottle. Roasted plum date aroma. Hazy, amber brown body with a quick foamy white head. Boozy roasted dark fruit and oaked potato flavour. Full body. Interesting. (7/3/8/3/14) 3.5

Clear red amber colour, white head. Aroma of tomato, brown sugar, dates, quite fruity. Finish malts, caramel and hops.

650ml bottle. Maybe the least oxidized of the trio I tasted, similiar flavor to the other, a bit mroe vanilla and oak notes have survived the extended aging.
