Cask @ Ginger Man poured into an Imperial Pint (awesome!!). Has the agitated beer, bubbly with no substance small head that comes off a cask. But it has a beautiful hazy, glowing, orange-golden color. Aroma is bretty, lemony, and sour, mmm I like. Its very strong on the tangy, tart lemony brett, which reminds me a lot of young Canitllon lambic. Taste is not as strong but the lemony brett really kicks in at the end of the flavor. Its lightly drying and lots of tart, sweet-less miscellaneous berries sprinkled throughout. Definitely reminds of kegged young Cantillon gueze. Has that undercarbonated cask mouthfeel. I would really love to see the final product when these get blended and bottled in the future.

Feb 27, 2010 Poured a hazed golden color with the typical cask head. Mildly tart wheaty lemon aroma. Bretty yeast notes giving a light earthy component to it. Lemony citrus flavor with a tartness to it. Not really acidic. Bretty earthy bitterness. Light bodied. Nice beer.

Feb 24, 2010 On tap at the Bruery’s 1st anniversary party 5/16/09: Pours a hazy bright golden with a thin wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of semi-sweet biscuity pale malt and fresh citrus and light fruity complexity. Start with good carbonation and sweet biscuity malt with a great balance of crisp acidity and tartness with mild grassy bitterness before a puckering finish. A well made sour ale.

A: Cuvee Jeune pours a hazy, light orange-yellow color with no real signs of head or lacing.
S: The nose is full of tart fruit, especially lemons, apples, and (of course) grapes. There is also a quite pronounced Brett (funk) aroma, but not overwhelming in any sense.
T: The taste is very similar to the nose in terms of the tart fruit component; with the grapes and citrus flavors being the most forward. The Brett funkiness is still there and provides a nice level of complexity. There is also a tannic component to this which is probably from a combination of the grapes and the barrels.
M: The tannins and high level of carbonation provide a very dry mouthfeel and finish. I personally enjoy this quite a bit. The body of the beer itself is on the lighter side.
D: The dry feel and intense flavors make this beer very enjoyable to drink. But, after awhile, the tannins start to take a bit of a toll on the palette and so I had to knock a few points off my ranking for that.

Nov 13, 2009 Flat apple juice appearance, no head whatsoever. Smells nice and sour and almost more lambic like than sour ale...like a nice, funky sour gueuze. Sour, almost lambic-like flavors...dry white wine notes, sour, clean...very very nice.

Oct 19, 2009 Lovely sour tang. Mixed with a slight but mellowing wine/grape end note. Easy to drink. great introduction to sours for the uninitiated.

Sep 27, 2009 On tap at Stone Sourfest 09. Hazy gold pour. Aroma is funky, barnyard, and attic. Flavor is lightly sour, and not too tart.

Aug 26, 2009 On tap at Beachwood. This was my second favorite beer on the night (not counting O. Rouge, which I’ve had multiple times and love). Appears cloudy gold with no head. Aroma is lemon zest, funk and some underripe white peach. Flavor starts with that lemony quality, and moves forwards with Brett notes. Actually reminds me a little bit of RR Temptation in this way. Palate is medium in fullness, not too much carbonation. Finishes with a lemony sour zip, which was very satisfying.

Pours a golden brown hue with no head.
Very tarty nose, with hints of some tropical fruits and lots of citrus.
Flavor is sour throughout and vert tarty.
Medium Mouthfeel, light carbonation
