COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American style fruit beer made with Wisconsinís Door County cooking cherries and lager yeast. The tartness of the cherry is balanced with the sweetness from the 2-row barley and the flavoring of Mt. Hood hops.

(bottle) Pours a natural cherry color with thin head, no glass lacing. Minimal aroma noted. The flavor is also a natural cherry (thank you) without cloying sweetness and a smooth malted balance. Long finish. Well done within the style.

Bottle. Reddish amber pour with minimal head. Tart cherry, lager yeast, and a little trash on the nose. Not great.

Reddish pour from a bottle at Rugans. White head. Fruity. Smells and tastes like a basket of cherries. The bartender and my wife love it. I am lukewarm on this.

decent beer from lakefront, has a smell of cherrys/dough and the cherry taste is like the taste of a cherry from canned cherry pie filling which isnt a bad thing, the main thing going against this beer is its brewed in the same state as new glarus belgian red. overall not bad and a good summer brew

Deep amber pour. Tangy malt and faint cherry in the nose. Flavor is light caramel malt with a nice tart cherry backend. Lingering cherry, caramel malt and mild bitterness. Not too bad.

While not always a fan of fruity beers, Lakefront Cherry Lager is the exception. Usually, I find fruit flavoring too sweet and overpowering. But, this beer has a subtle hint of tart cherry flavor. A very good lager for warm summer months.

New, fresh batch for 2014. Light amber. Good little soapy white head. Aroma is grainy, only a touch of tart cherry. A more rare instance where the aroma is a let down to the flavor. Flavor really comes to life in comparison. Much more tart cherry. Dark cherry. Graham cracker. Juice from a cherry pie. Much better than I expected, particularly the flavor. Pretty good, However not 9.99 a 4pack good.

This beer has the sad misfortune of having to compete with New Glarusí Belgian Red, which scores a perfect 100. Its flaws are amplified due to this. The flavor of cherry is faint at best, with a mild tartness to accompany it. The aroma is a slice of three-week-old cherry pie that you forgot in the back of the fridge after Thanksgiving: spicy, with an underlying odor of fermenting cherries. The head is thin, and fleeting. The color is a clear, dark orange. If you stare long enough, you might be able to convince yourself that there is some red in there. Overall, this might be an okay beer if Belgian Red didnít exist, but we canít ignore the fact that such a high bar has been set for a cherry beer in Wisconsin. Itís palatable, but not much more.

An average fruit beer. The cherries are present on the nose and palate, with the lager yeast really only showing up on the palate to give this just a little depth. Finishes with a little cherry tartness.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a mostly transparent orange with white lacing. Smells of dough and lager yeast with mild cherry notes. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Not bad; couldnít drink a lot of it though due to its sweetness.
