Aroma is sweet, a bit candy sugar accented, with faint clove and fruit. Flavor is simultaneously sweet and the body strikes one as being a bit thin - a hard trick to pull off. Light clove, faint dark fruit. Very so-so. Very attractive bottle, wish the contents had stood up to the packaging.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2010 Malty double with the Abita cheap ass beer spin on it. Decent enough beer, but you’ll get tired of drinking it quickly. I stopped carrying it at my store after the first shipment, Didn’t sell well either. Naka (534), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2010 Pours a dark reddish brown with a large billowy cream-beige head. Long lasting and leaves a thick lacing. Aroma is bread, caramel, alcohol, and a bit of aged scotch. Flavor has a noticeable alcohol. Butterscotch and roasted dark malts with a hint of sour to it. The sour seems a little out of place. The body is kind of thin to be a dubbel and it leaves a slightly bitter and sour flavor. maltdog (534), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 18, 2010 Orangey brown; dense beige head is as tall as the liquid is deep. Smells of chocolate milk, newly-opened ream of paper, raisins, coriander. Sweet flavor- brown sugar, plum/cherry, anise. Mouthfeel is medium and then some, with stinging carbonation. Plastic and PEZ candy finish, tannic. Intensely sour cherry aftertaste. Got to be a fruit beer. Not loving it. Beerman6686 (1404), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 9, 2010 This poured a somewhat cloudy mustard brown to amber color with a white head. Aroma was of light darker fruits, belgian spiceiness, and some caramel. Flavor was lighter characters of the aroma, mainly spiciness and not as roasted as i would have liked. A smooth drinking dubbel but nothing special alexanderj (2403), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 9, 2010 Bottle; had this one way back during my family xmas beer tating. Poured a muddy amber color with a tan head. Aroma of carmael, slightly sweet, fruit, a bit of spice, and caramel. Flavor was better than most Abita beers, which I have never really liked. Caramele, fruit and cocoa perhaps. Solid. SuperDave70 (1340), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2010 Sweet dried fruit aroma, almost like figs and raisins. Reddish brown in color. Fruity sweet, kind of a creamy banana flavor almost, with some spice & clove added for extra kick. Overall this is a great solid brew. Smooth and flavorful, perfect for the cold months. strap (30), honolulu, USA
