UPDATED: MAY 9, 2023 As Goliath Blond at 6% ABV. Appearance: Foggy gold with a good off-white head. Aroma: Fruity Belgian yeast delivering rich yellow plum and banana esters, pale malt, spicy notes. Taste: Light sweet and light to medium bitter, Pale malt, bread, yellow plum, grass, slightly phenolic.Hoppy aftertaste. Mouth feel: Medium minus body that shrinks towards the ending. Average carbonation. Overall: Decent. Excellent smell. Solid taste. Mediocre body.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2023 J'ai été déçu par cette Gouyasse qui présente une légère acidité qui casse l'alcool et ne permet pas aux arômes de s'exprimer convenablement. Le visuel est sur un blond doré légèrement voilé avec une fine effervescence soutenue et une mousse blanche d'un cm. Le nez est sur un cocktail de céréales, miel, alcool et girofle. L'attaque est trop acide, ne permettant aux arômes de bien se développer. Pas de grosse variation ou évolution sur la dégustation à part l'intensité de l'acidité qui nous donne une bière étriquée et manquant de puissance. Les corpulences et longueurs sont tout autant médiocres pour une bière qui n'a rien de géant.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2022 Das Goliath Blonde lässt vermuten, dass es sich um ein starkes, unbändiges Bier handelt. Der hefige Geruch nach Banane und Pfirsich werfen erste Zweifel auf. Sehr fruchtig, sehr lecker meldet die Nase. Der feinporige Schaum ist üppig und standfest, die Farbe ist strohgelb und trüb. Beim Antrunk kommen die beiden oben genannten Früchte toll rüber, die Hefe ist nicht störend dabei. Ich meine auch Beeren zu schmecken, kann sie aber nicht benennen. Beim Abgang zunehmende Bitterkeit bei abnehmenden Früchten. Hopfengeschmack ist nicht erkennbar. Sehr süffig für ein Blonde und somit weit weg von 'stark' oder 'unbändig'. UPDATED: MAR 27, 2021 27-03-2021; bottle; at home (bought at an unknown location). Had the beer as Goliath Blond. The looks of the beer are nice. It is a golden yellow beer with a nice haziness. It has a nice bright glow. On top of the beer there is a nice layer go frothy white foam. Foam retention is rather high. Nice thick clouds of foam stay on top of the beer for quite some time. Some nice lacing is left on the glass. All in all, it looks very nice. The aroma of the beer is pleasant. There are some nice basic malty aromas, giving some caramel and some grainy twists. Some plain bready notes are there too. Hops give some nice floral notes and some fruity touches. It has a touch of honey in it as well. Yeast gives some typical Belgian yeast aromas, with some citrus, some coriander and some orange zest. Nice. The taste of the beer is also quite nice. It has sweet malts and some nice bitter hops. The hops also give some slight sour notes, bringing balance to the taste. The result is a well balanced beer. The palate of the beer is also quite nice. The beer has a medium body and smooth texture. The carbonation of the beer is medium. The finish has some malty sweetness and quite some yeast spices and some orange zest, that typical Belgian Ale yeast note. All in all, quite a nice beer!

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2020 Bottle at home. Nicely cloudy light golden ale, creamy fine white lacing. Quite yeasty blonde, peppery, citrus, a tat funky, dry. Medium body, lively carbonation.

Troebel geel bier met ruime witte schuimkraag. Zacht, fleurig, eerst licht zoet dan licht bittertje. Goed zomer biertje

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2020 Blonde simple mais assez bonne dans le style classique . Mousse crémeuse. Pointe astringente houblonnée. Epices coriandre peut-être. Malt délicat . Beau col de mousse. Rien de grandiose mais en biere de soif , c est parfait.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2020 Proefglas van 33cl-fles. U: Wazig blond met een witte schuimkraag. G: Bleekmout, bakkersgist en ook een hint van citroen (maar je moet dan wel zeer ver zoeken). S: Zoet met een lichte bitterheid. Bleekmout en gist. Semi-droge afdronk. M: Medium body en medium carbonatie.
