Bottled April 1 2005 - Cloudy yellow with a rather large foamy white head. The aroma is fresh straw, pears and some bread. A rather subdued aroma. Flavor is straw, spicy yeast, over ripe fruit, and some herbaceousness. A goodly amount of hops are still present even after a year. Bright fizzy palate. Light alcohol warmth. All in all a pretty decent Saison, not world-class but still quite good. Anotehr example of just how diverse the brewers at Vistory are.

Mar 20, 2010 Pours clear golden-yellow with a thick but short-lived white head. Spiciness dominates the aroma with some yeast in the background . Taste is sweet and spicy with a hint of citrus, a touch of barnyard and a warming finish. A somewhat caustic feel in the mouth.

Mar 19, 2010 Pours a clear straw golden color with a thick fizzy white head lasting for quite some time. Slight bit of lacing. There is tons of effervescence in this beer. Aroma is grainy hay and slightly piney hops. Very yeasty with a touch of funk. Taste is much sweeter than I had originally expected. Honey and some clove. However, the sweetness dissipates in the palate quickly and is replaced by a strong bitterness. The bitterness has a spicy grassy quality to it. The body isn’t as light as I was hoping, so it takes a little away from the refreshing quality, but I guess that’s an ok trade off for a little more punch with the ABV. A solid saison.

Mar 17, 2010 Light amber with sediment floating about light carbonation. Aromas of sweet caramel, banana, honey, light grain, hops. Wow surprising twist in the flavor department. Pine/citrus hops straight out front with a lighter malt backbone of caramel, light banana, slight grain. End is bitter, slightly dry, slightly sudsy. I was kinda impressed being thrown off with the aromas. Love surprises!

Mar 15, 2010 I’m just not digging this beer. Very heavy and authentic Saison-style but with an aggressively pronounced and sharply bitter finish. The two just don’t go together in my opinion. Has the genuine banana esther notes, with a pilsener sharpness. Well made, but not my cup of tea.

Mar 12, 2010 Very good. Light bodied, with refreshing spices. Lots of citrus taste - primarily lemon. Well balanced throughout. Lightly yeasty as well. No taste of alcohol, didn’t realize this was 7.5%.

Mar 7, 2010 A light golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, pleasant and pungeant, with good hops, herbal, creamy and grassy. In mouth, a good crisp saison, with coriander, catnip, very nice and complex. Hail Helios! On tap at American Flat Bread, Jan. 11 2010.

Mar 7, 2010 Pours a soft straw gold with a two finger billowy white head. Nose is spicy upfront with lots of lemon zest and white pepper, dry, some grapefruit rind, very estery, yeasty. Flavor is very peppery with lots of citrus rind and zest, lite malty sweetness. Palate is very dry.

Mar 5, 2010 Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 22 oz bomber. Pours a dark golden with nice bubble action and a thin, but sticky persistent white head. Aroma is grassy and lemony, very tart, not unpleasant, but not overly pleasing. Flavor has some nice lemony notes, a bit of yeastiness, hints of sourness, and a little bit of butter in the back end. Mouthfeel is much too spritzy and carbonated for my liking with an off-putting metallic essence in the finish. Decent - but was hoping for more - however - ecstatic that Victory has made it to north Florida!
