| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2009 MiBGWF 2009: Coppery hue with a solid abit small white frothy head. The aroma has notes of grassy and resiny hops, some citric esters, caramel and biscuity malts, and a note of white pepper. The taste is juicy hops and bitterness supported in balance by sweet and pale malts with a hop spice finish, hint of mineral and metal too. The mouth feel is aggressive and lively. A good brew but in the world of big DIPA’s I am afraid this would be overlooked. Ibrew2or3 (2987), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Pours deep gold with copper core and thin off white head. The aroma is a mix of sweet malts, rich citrus orange peel and grapefruit followed by a bit of floral and spice hops. The taste begins with sweet malts and growing citrus to pine hops. Nice mixture with terrific balance. Into the finish I get both pine and citrus hops taking the experience to closure with a mild backbone of sweet malts. Pretty solid IIPA that doesn’t try pushing the envelope in an envelope pushing style. hopdog (5760), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2009 12oz bottle. Batch 100. Thanks John for sending this one my way! Poured a medium and hazy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, floral hops, toasty, and some caramel. Tastes of citrus, lighter caramel, floral hops, earthy, and lightly fruity. Lighter body with the alcohol content hidden. Some lacing left on the glass. Cletus (5131), Connecticut, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Batch 100. Pours a hazy amber/copper with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, caramel, fuity, yeasty, coriander, a touch of pepper. Tastes earthy and lightly bitter with some nice citrussy notes. Some earthiness is present as the beer warms. Alcohol is not apparent in this one and this is somewhere between a big IPA and a milder IIPA. An impressive and enjoyable beer. Well done!
