Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA

4th May 2008. Very hoppy beer but well balanced by lot of malt. As undertone of fruitiness adds complexity. Smooth and silky. Finishes bitter, slightly fruity and dry.

I’m not a hop-head - A lot of IPAs I’ve had in the past just gave me that bitter beer face and tasted like a field of weeds. Holy crap, this stuff is good. Despite the high level of hops presence, it’s totally balanced by the malty finish. Gorgeous copper color, nice bone head gives way to thick lacing, aroma has that citrusy-grassy quality of many IPAs, but it’s the flavor - delicate and bold, hoppy, malty, just plain good. Definitely an instant favorite. Wow.

Pours a copper color with a thin tan head. Aromas of sweet citrus; flavor is the same. Very good, but just a little too sweet for my taste.

35cl bott@Strasbourg mondial de la Biere. Nice full complex intense aromas. Citrusy. Orange. Nice full body, fruity, fresh and dry. Long and lasting full bitter taste. Golden in color, nice white foam. You can taste the that it’s the main-selling beer.

Perfect. Honey Orange sweet (but not too sweet) grapefruit, some dark fruit and pineapple, very well hidden alcohol. There may be no better delivery method for the deliciousness of hops than this beer.

Orange copper body with tanned head. Aroma is excellent. Full of citric notes and sweetness of malty bread. Flavour has lots of fruity hoppiness with grapfruit, some pineapple and piny notes. Yet the malty body is so perfectly balanced. I must say I have never drinked a better IPA.

This is another hoppy beer that is nice on the palate. Hoppy but balanced. Enjoyable to drink.

Bottle at Union Jack’s poured into a tulip glass produced and beautiful amber body with light tan head. Tastes of citrus fruits and fair amount of hops that was well balanced. I enjoyed this ale very much.
