pkbites (309), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 22, 2004 Updated: Apr 18, 2005 BOMB FRANCE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
This pig slop tastes like liquid alfalfa sprouts.
Like grass clippings soaked in bile! It attempts (weakly) at some flavor, but like the French army v.s. ...........ANY other army, it fails. I bought a 12 pack (of those annoying 8.5 ounce bottles) for $8.99 in Milwaukee on 10/21/04. Theres is a $5 rebate, but they make you go through hoops to get it!
I’ll bet anything I don’t get the refund. But even if I do, this whore juice isn’t worth $3.99!! Do me a favor: if your reading this, E-mail me to confirm you read it! At least I’ll get the satisfaction of knowing I warned someone about it! Blech! Truly vulgar!!
UPDATE: I mailed the rebate in on October 25, 2004. Today is January 18, 2005. I have received NOTHING! What a scam!
UPDATE: You’re not going to believe this! I swear to God it’s true! Today is Monday, April 18th, 2005. I RECEIVED MY $5 REBATE TODAY!!!!! ALMOST 6 MONTHS TO THE DAY!!! 6 MONTHS!! WTF?!?!?!!

I tried this beer on September 8, 2009 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer pours a translucent dark gold colour with a thin white bubbly head and a large amnount of effervescence. The aroma is grainy malt, and some hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is malty, metallic, slightly sweet and a hoppish finish. Strangebrewer (208), Chatham, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2009 can. Poured clear pale yellow with an initial dense white head that eventually thinned out. Pungent hoppy-grain aroma. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Flavour is grainy/herbal. Metallic, slightly bitter finish. A non-offensive beer. DerWeg (750), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 18, 2009 Incredibly pale light clear yellowy gold, creamy white head that doesn’t stick. Lightly hoppy aroma with slick-sweet malts, maybe a prickle of sharp chemical smell. Taste is round and sweet with notes of apple, generic honey and lemon. Pluses high drinkability an non-offensive, minuses it’s kind of fake and has a slightly parching chemical feel, and I fear a Boris preservative-induced hang-over would be most wretched. MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 14, 2009 Boris (!) beer....reminds me of Boris the Spider and Boris the spy from the beloved Rocky and Bullwinkle show. From a silly little bottle, this poured a fomay white head of perhaps one finger’s depth. Where the hell did it go? Anywho, the colour was a rich, urine-like medium gold, accompanied by a delicate floral hopped nose. Both the initial and after tastes were somewhat sweet, and the mouthfeel was average. Not a dreadful beer, but beer is not what the French do best. boozer87 (1), , Ontario, Canada does not count Jan 16, 2009 pours a yellowy head. smelled like apple juice. tastes soft - hints of watery apple juice. no aftertaste. terrybail (331), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2008 500ml can from the LCBO
The french should stick to wine
Not good
A more detailed description will follow on a second tasting
I have misplaced my comments for this beer mullet2007 (198), St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada Oct 18, 2008 Pours a clear straw yellow colour with a thick fluffy head that actually lasts for a little while. Nose is faint, but there is some grassy hops present there. Favour is a little bit skunky, and kind of tastes like flour, kind of chalky. I guess it’s fairly dry. The hops that were present in the nose don’t come through so much in the taste, just a bit of bitterness. Aftertaste pretty much doesn’t exist. Carbonation is a bit low for a pils or a pale lager or whatever it’s supposed to be. Skidds (252), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 This one is rated a little lower than I would have expected. It’s nothing great, but it was a fairly clean tasting lager. Went down smooth. 1664 is a lot better though.
