Taster - Oregon Trail Brewing - Corvallis, OR
Aroma – Nice malt flavoring with the added orange peel this beer took off.
Appearance – Light Straw in color, Thin head and hazy.
Flavor – Huge wheat malt flavor and adding the strong orange peel flavor this was a great beer.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry finish.
Overall – Loved the fruitiness of this beer the wheat malt was great and the additions of the fresh orange peel added to this beer. One of the best for tasting today.

Draft at Oregon Brewers Festival, Portland, OR. White small head that mostly lasted, fair amount of lacing, no carbonation observed, cloudy, and a yellow hue. Nose was sweet, spicy and orange peel. Flavor was dry, sweet, spicy, and citrus. Light in body. I definitely have had better of this style as I flat out did not like this one as the flavor just seemed totally off for the style.

On tap at Oregon Trail’s Olde World Deli in Corvallis, OR--Poured a soapy yellow bosy with a small wispy white head. Nose of lemon, orange peel and wheaten yeast. Thin bodied and not as punchy as other wits, but quite drinkable. Very nice, not great, though.

Pours cloudy yellow with white head. Mild aromas of spices. Flavor is dry. Body is thin but with just the right carbonation gives it a nice round mouthfeel, almost creamy.

slightly cloudy yellow, whispy head and good lace, fresh crish hop aroma with slight sweetness, mild crisp hop flavor balanced well with dry malt character, just a slight bitter finish

This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a head of frothy fine to medium sized bubbles that were fully diminished and left behind a hazy softly carbonated yellow-orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was malty bready mild spice and dough. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt hops and floral. An OK brew just nothing special.

This was my least favorite out of all the tastings I sampled. Did not really come across as a witbier, but just more of a spicy wheat based ale. Some nice, yeasty clove notes, a little bit of banana and some other lingering spices in the finish. Overall an interesting mixture of sweet and sour.
