A dark pink to purple color beer with a nice pink head. Hmm a Valentines beer. The aroma was very cherryish. The taste was cherries, sweet, & slightly acidic. Simply put a cherry juice beer.

(Bottle into tulip) Like most of these fruit lambics, you really have to be in the mood to have one, and I was ready!! Pours a nice red/ruby color withe a half finger pink head that hung on longer that normal and left strong lacing on the glass. Aroma obviously strong with cherry, but I also detected another sweetness in there.. honey maybe(?) as well as some citrus. The cherries actually reminded me a little of the Luden’s cherry cough drops I had as a kid which is not necessarily a bad thing! The taste was very sweet from the cherries, but they were not overpowerling. A slight bite at the finish reminded you you weren’t drinking juice! Another strong offering from Lindemans.

Thanks to HogTownHarry for sharing with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Raspberry/cherry colour with a tiny red head. Aroma: Really nice cherry, almost like the children’s medicine called ’Calpol’. Creamy cherry, simple but delicious. Flavour: Wonderful cherry, really fresh as if just picked. Delicious. Beers like this are a joy to try.

Ruby pour with a thick, frothy pink ahead. Strong cherry aroma, sweet, cherry-flavored cough syrup. Flavor is one-dimensional, sweet cherries. Flavorful but too sweet, cloying. Full bodied mouthfeel, syrupy. With something to offset the sweetness this would great, but the something is not there.

750 mL bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Pours red with a bubbly pink head. Fruity, cherry, and sugary aroma. Good cherry flavor with some sweetness. The biggest downside is that the sugar tastes like an artifical sweetner (after writing this in my notes on the beer I noticed that the description even says they use a sugar substitute). Overall, this is a good kriek that is readily available for a decent price. It makes sense for those of us that do not live in Wisconsin to buy this.

Pours a clear, cranberry red body with an average, pink, frothy head. Aroma of tart cherry dominates. Not unpleasant, but big and one sided. Flavor is of sweet, candied cherry. Somewhat tangy. Medium-light body is very sweet with lively carbonation and a sweet, sticky finish. Overall pretty decent in moderation.

Lindemans Kriek pours rosé with a pink, bubbly head. The carbonation quickly cedes, giving way to tart cherry flavor, with slight bitterness. As much as I have made an effort to appreciate lambics, the apparent presence of artificial flavoring and sweeteners is a huge turn-off in this case. Maybe I’ll have a snapple next time, instead.

(bottle). Clear ruby color. Medium, rocky pink head. Sweet and sour cherry aroma. Moderate sour cherry flavor, with light sweetness. Avg duration. Smooth finish with lasting sweetness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.
