Only my second lambic and my first of the cherry variety. I like the bold cherry aroma with hints of sourness. The appearance is what I expected it to be - clear and red with a pink head. The flavor is sweet up front with a tart, slightly acidic finish. I especially like the mouthfeel of this one - very complicated and I like the interplay between sweet and sour. A decent lambic.

2009 Bottle - Pours deep purple red with a lerge pink head...aroma is candy cherry, cherry syrup, sugar and the cherries from fruit cocktail...flavour is the same, cherry syrup, sour cherry, lemon, little bitterness, even less barrel...tastes decent enough, but far from lambic...

( 375ml cork and caged bottle cork dated 2.007). Pours clear red with head that fades like soda. Nose of light wood, tart cherries, and light vinegar. Taste of sweet cherries, some tartness, and some wet woody flavors. Finishes creamy and tart. For a very available fruit lambic this is good.

Pours a dark red with an appealing cloudiness. Small head which leaves good retention and very good lacing. Smells like dark cherries just at the perfect peak of ripeness in a wicker basket. Perhaps a touch of dark red globe grapes. Clean somewhat earthy taste. Big, bold sweet cherry flavor followed by the tartness of real cherries. Light alcohol presence feeling on the back end. While it is remeniscent of winery fruit juice (or a similar high-quality juice), you can tell that this is definitely something which has been brewed. Mouthfeel is very nice. Carbonation is almost perfect. Could stand to be a touch thicker. Easily drinkable, even though the sweetness factor would prevent it from being a session beer for most people. Excellent dessert beer. If you’ve been holding off on this (these) bottle(s), take the plunge, spend a couple extra bucks and taste the goodness.

bottle - pours a deep ruby red with creamy head. The aroma was of strong yeasty cherry. The flavor was sweet with a lovely sour cherry undertone. Yum!!

3.5% 37.5cl bottle. Hazy light red with a dissipating two finger creamy pink head and a sparse lacing. Sweet cough sweet cherry aroma. Really quite sweet cherry flavours with only a touch of sourness. Some yeasty, hoppy bitterness on the back of the tongue, but not much variety. Short finish, but a lingering sweetness on a medium, syrupy body. Medium to heavy carbonation, refreshing on the swallow.

Bottle. Bright red in color with a small whitish head. Aroma is sour cherry, sugar and an earthy yeast scent. Flavor is sweet and fruity with a tart sourness and just a touch of bitterness. Medium body with active carbonation and a dry tart finish. Pretty sweet but I can drink about 12oz without it being too bad or blended with another beer to mellow out the sweetness.

Poured from a bottle into a tumbler. It had a deep cherry red hue. It smelled like sour cherries and was very sillky on the palate but was a little too oily feeling for my preference. It was enjoyable but not my kind of brew. The wife finished it and gave it a 5.

250 ml bottle. Deep, dark, cherry red color. Darkest of any kriek I have seen to date. Aroma of sour cherry candy drops, with a touch of funk and a bit of bread. Some lactic action as well. Nothing lambic about the taste. Sweet-and-sour cherry action. There is a bit of astringency at the finish, and some malty breadiness as well. Cherries taste mildly reasonable, but it certainly is not whole fruit. Ok cherry flavor, with a nice sour edge that makes it somewhat pleasant, but little is beer-like about it. Disappointing, though better than Belle-Vue.
