abemorsten (65), Norway Oct 26, 2009 Brownish black pour topped by a small and short lived beige head. Aroma is molasses, vanilla toffe/choclate and inviting. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. Taste of the same with some bitterness coming through. This medium bodied brew is a pretty decent porter. DonKi11uminati (43), , Indiana, USA Sep 18, 2009 This is a nice porter overall. It pours dark and has a medium to full body. Subtle bready aroma. The flavor offers bread, toffee and chocolate, while managing to be slightly bitter and not too sweet. The body seems a little heavy for a porter, but this is an interesting beer overall. The heavy body makes this a better winter beer- maybe I’ll check it out again this winter. Dervock (178), Emu plains, Australia Sep 18, 2009 Bottle - Pours dark purple (under light) with an off white head of tight bubbles, which left a nice laing in the glass. Tart fruit almost port like aroma. Bitter up front then a berry taste followed by the malt, lingering fruity port aftertaste.
