BenL8	3.8 Lompoc Port Barrel Aged LSD On tap stadsbrouwhuis. Strange since the brewery has been closed for 2 years. Pours a dark red, small fine head. Aroma is herbal, medicinal, hops, grain. Medium body. Flavour is malty, not sweet, light oak, very marginal port notes, again medicinal. This is weird, but the more I have of it, the more I like it... But odd. Wednesday, September 1, 2021

solidfunk	4.1 Lompoc Old Tavern Rat Very smooth barley wine. This is aged at 2013 though so go figure. Root, marmalade and sweet tobacco. Hazy orange pour with great head. Bittersweet and boozy end, with notes of lingering citrus. Apparently they closed, so this was one of those last drinks for the departed. Tap at Horse Brass. Saturday, May 15, 2021

KansaiBeerLvrs	3.7 Lompoc Cranberry Saison - Port Barrel Lompoc BA Cranberry Saison Port BA Belgian-style Saison 5% Golden amber brown with a thick creamy head of foam. The aroma is almost whiskey BA with lots of tannic oak, I did get a waft of cranberry at first but once I drank some the barrel pushed it into the background rendering it very subtle. Beese	4.2 Lompoc Monster Mash Porter Keg at New Old Lompoc, Portland, OR on 10/10/2010. A really, really good imperial porter. Smooth as heck, with tons of coffee, dark fruit, treacle and dates. Really nice roasty, coffee finish. Great mouthfeel. Thursday, September 17, 2020
Beese	3.8 Lompoc Black Tiger Cascadian Dark Keg at New Old Lompoc, Portland, OR on 29/09/2010. There aren’t that many times in my life when I can pinpoint a very small, seemingly innocuous decision that had such a huge impact on my life (and the lives of quite a few other people too). However, deciding to have one last beer in New Old Lompoc, rather than go straight back to the hostel was most definitely one of them. Anyway, aside from all that life altering stuff, this beer was a really good BIPA. Roasty and rich, but with a nice hoppy, resinous bite and dark and tropical fruit flavours. Beese	3.2 Lompoc Lompeizer American Ale Keg at New Old Lompoc, Portland, OR on 15/08/2008. I’m back, baby! After spending three weeks melting and being eaten by Mosquitos (not to mention getting limited supplies of good beer) in New Orleans, I was at breaking point, so I did what any rational 22-year-old on a budget would do and got a series of Greyhound buses from New Orleans to Portland via LA in a journey that took me across the entirety of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and all up California into Oregon. It took three days, but the sheer relief from being back on the West Coast was immense. I walked to my hostel, washed myself and left immediately to find some beer. New Old Lompoc was one of the closest brewpubs in that North West neighbourhood. Interesting fact; this brewpub (sadly now closed) would go on to have another, incredibly significant impact in my life, but not for a couple of years after my initial visit. Anyway; I’m here, I want some beer and I order a bunch. This was the lightest one to start with, and it was a nice, refreshing, pretty basic beer. Honestly, I needed it so bad, it probably tasted like Ambrosia at this point. Friday, March 20, 2020
Svesse	3.4 Lompoc Proletariat Red (Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 30 Aug 2019) Reddish amber colour with dense, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, toast and red fruit. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, red fruit, orange peel, candy sugar and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice. midovark	3.5 Lompoc Lomporter Tap at Hopa. Deep brown pour, off-white head. Nose is chocolate, toffee and dark malts. Taste chocolate again, a bit earthy, malty. Closes with a surprisingly thin, almost watery finish, has light body and average carbonation. Sunday, October 13, 2019

Svesse	3.6 Lompoc Lomporter (Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2019) Dark brown colour, almost black, with foamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, dark chocolate and roasted grain. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread, roasted grain and a balanced roasty bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced porter. Svesse	3.6 Lompoc Old Tavern Rat - Port Barrel Aged (Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2019) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, candy sugar and dried fruit. Malty, slightly vinous taste with caramel, dried fruit, port wine, candy sugar and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Malty, fruity, woody nose with red fruit, caramel, oak wood and red wine. Malty, slightly vinous taste with notes of caramel, red fruit, wood, red wine and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. A bit woody and winey to be in perfect balance, but tasty and quite nice. Wednesday, August 7, 2019

Svesse	3 Lompoc Viognier Saison (Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 13 Feb 2019) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with canned peaches, apples, soft malt and a touch of cinnamon. Fruity, tart taste with notes of apples, unripe pears, mixed fruit, a touch of oak wood and green grapes. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Low bitterness. Quite fruity and fairly odd for a saison. Quite enjoyable. Sunday, July 21, 2019
