As per my other experiences with the sake maker, it’s good for the price tag. Alcohol burn is more felt, less clean and bright. Not as soft all around. Bottle says 58% polish. andrewje41	3 Moonstone Asian Pear Sake Bottle pour enjoyed at 12 Moons, Snoqualmie. Found a sake that the powerful raters up north all split. Near transparent pour, water with a minimal tint. Gentle aroma. Soft pear and rice cream. Thicker mouthfeel than what the modest appearance would indicate. Rich cream, and soft pear juice which lingers on the palate. Quite a boozy drink for a softer sake within the style. Late burn, but the juicy pear remains the headliner. Pretty good overall. Thursday, February 16, 2023

Indistinct fruits, pear, apple, cantaloupe, and a twinge of starchy paste on the nose. Sweetness is countered with noticeable booziness. Erzengel	2.9 Momokawa Silver Junmai Ginjo Sake Many thanks to weihenweizen for bringing this 75cl bottle to Europe. Smooth dry beginning. Not as complex or deep as the diamon-version. A bit harsh in the end, hints of alcohol and very fragile dry. Smooth mild, fruity with a dry and somehow herbal bitter strange ending. The Sake is very light and subtle in Flavour. Nothing deep, the nice pear juice is fruity fragile and fits in fantastic - but couldn’t help the light aroma with not much aftertaste. I wanted to give something a try and went with this as it was made locally and had a decent price point. I ended up picking the small bottle just to try it. I was REALLY impressed with it. It had great fruit notes, a nice complex flavor profile, sweet but not cloyingly sweet or overpoweringly sweet. I could taste a lot of different layers of flavor in the sake, so I was very happy. Also, it felt like the sake tasted better when it was cooler, i'll probably go with a large size bottle next time and keep it in the fridge to refill my glass. Saturday, September 28, 2019
BarleyGuide49	0.5 Moonstone Plum Sake So, I picked this sake up at a asian food grocery store that I go to regularly. I have tried several different sake varieties, in Japan and in the United States, although I would not consider myself an expert by any means. The bottle was nice, the price was decent, and I was excited to try a "plum" flavor sake. Unfortunately, this sake is really bad. Do yourself a favor and don't try it. It's major notes on the palate are of cherry flavored cough syrup, so don't buy it unless you enjoy that kind of thing because that is basically what it tastes like.
