Not a real "British" beer, but
Malt:

6 lbs. pale malt (2-row)
3 lbs. Munich malt
1 lb. Victory malt
0.75 lb. Crystal 120
0.5 lb. Caravienna
0.5 lb. Carapils

Hops:

0.5 oz. Simcoe @ 60 min.
1 oz. EKG @ 30 min.
0.5 oz. EKG @ 10 min.
0.5 oz. EKG @ 0 min.


Recipe is for 5.5 gallons.

I mashed at 153F for 60 minutes.

Starting gravity is 1.056 assuming 75% efficiency. The hop schedule is designed using pellet hops and should put you at about 40 IBUs. Adjust amounts upwards if using whole hops. I usually use WLP002 or WLP005 but if those are too unattenuative for your tastes Id bet WLP007 would be good.
