Recipe for a crisp apple pilsner should be around 24 IBU 4.6% alcohol
6.6 lbs Briess Pilsen malt 1 lb Carapils malt 2 oz U.S Saaz hops 1 oz Liberty Hops 1 oz apple extract Lager/Pilsner yeast
1. Sanitize all equipment 2. Steep Carapils malt (aprox 35 minutes) 3. Renove Carapils grain malt from wort 4. Add all Briess Pilsen malt to wort 5. Begin 60 min boil; Add 1 oz Saaz hops 6. 40 min into boil add 1 oz Saaz hops 7. Last 5 minutes add 1 oz Liberty hops 8. Terminate boil. Chill wort to 70 degrees. 9. Add yeast and apple extract; seal fermenter/carboy 10. Ferment in primary fermenting tank 4-7 days 11. Secondary fermenter for 7 days
