about me
Ideally beverages would be judged in comparison to a "representative" example of the category. This challenges the taster to aim for "objectivity," at least as much as humanly possible. However, as one seeks such lofty heights, along the way one is inevitably limited in experience and can only make faulty comparisons until lots of tasting experience gives one an insight into the basic style. This also requires retasting and blind tasting in order to develop a sensitive palate.
