Bottle(tripel) pours a shiney orange with a very light white head(huge bubbles.) Smells citrusy and sweet with some alcohol on the nose as well as some light malt aromas. Without a doubt the best tripel I’ve ever had. Sweet, but not overly, vibrantly fresh, the bitterness is very in your face it’s hard to forget about it. There is good malt flavors and the yeast characters just add to the wonderful flavors. This is a treat.

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours hazy/murky brown with a lacing off-white head. Citrus, yeasty and light spiced aroma. Flavour is much in line with this, quite yeasty, light citrus and with a mild spice note. Ends with a lingering citrus to orange peel flavour.

Bottle, courtesy of plovmand. A fizzy, hazy, golden-orange body with some micro-floaties and a big beige head is the result of the volcanoing beer entering the glass. Yeasty, citrusy and sweetish on the nose. The flavor is sweet and fruity with some spices, and a fruity finish. Full-bodied and effervescent. Quite dry, even though there’s sweetness on the flavor. A quite pleasant beer, hiding it’s alcohol well.Rating: 6-4-7-4-14-3.5. (080823)

Bottle, as Strakke Rakker, thx to plovmand. It pours a hazy, orange-golden body with a small white head. Sweetish on the nose, with some spices, banana and citrus. Sweet, herbal and spiced flavor, releasing bitterness towards the finish. Dry, medium to full body. The finish is lasting, with a herbal bitterness. A really pleasant beer. (080823)
