A 0.33L bottle tasted at One Pint Pub. Malty nose. Pale brown head. Dark brown colour. Malty stout-like taste. At the end average hoppiness. Slight coffee in the nose and taste. Good one.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Black, fairly rich beige head. Sweaty black currant aroma. Dryish and soft, salty and somewhat ashy. Packed with flavours, yet mild and gentle. Long salty tobacco finish.

from crackedkettle.com - black coloured with a firm and persistent beige head; aroma of cold roasted coffee and ashes; light notes of vanilla; medium-bodied and quite harsh palate; effervescent, bitter and dry; long tart bitterness in a roasted and fizzy coffeeish aftertaste

Bottled at Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a dark brown, almost black colur witha rich dense beige head. Rounded and dry aroma of roasted malts, yeast, tobacco, and coffee. Medium-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, nuts, tobacco, mint, and yeast. Smooth yet a bit chewy mouthfeel. Anise, salt, minerals, yeast and coffee in the the long well-rounded finish.

Bottled (CK, BB 03/2009). Dark-brown color, nice cloudy tan head. Aroma of molasses, tobacco, cold coffee and some licorice. Roasted malty, very ashy flavor. FInish is bitterish-roasted. Nice soft and velvety mouthfeel. Just too much ash and tobacco in the flavor for my liking. Otherwise quite ok.

(Bottled) Very, very dark brown with a smallish, tanned head with some lace. Aroma of milky sourness, strong licorice, sweet and lightly roasty malt. Roasted-malty, slightly sour flavor with an ashy-burned finish. Medium, reasonably velvety body with soft carbonation. A bit too burned-ashy stout - and not very interesting, either.

Bouteille: Literally black, presumably hazy with a small beige off-white layer; dark roasted malt, a light sweetness, liquorice and a touch of barnyard in the nose; quite solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; dry roasted, but also sweet finish with some liquorice in the aftertaste. All in all a pleasure, but why must a Stout be sweet.........
