Svesse (1703), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 1, 2006 (Draught, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep) Dark brown colour, small off-white head. Malty nose with caramel, toffee and raisins. Malty, slightly burnt, taste with caramel and raisins. Notes (but merely notes) of hops in the finish. Well balanced, hardly exciting.
Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 3, 2008 Draft at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A nut-brown beer with a thick dense white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of straw and nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of nuts and caramel, leading to a dry strawy finish which is lightly bitter. Furseth (1143), Kungälv, Sweden May 1, 2008 Bottle: Deep red colour, with a big white head. Aroma was; sweet maltyness, some caramel. Flavor is almost the same here,werry sweet,thin body, and a sweet malty finish. Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Feb 2, 2008 Mahogany with an OK head. The aroma is rather weak but I do find notes of malt, candy sugar and an even weaker hint of berries. The flavour is sweetish with notes of lightly roasted malt, candy sugar and again weak hints of berries. The finish has a dry, slightly bitter finish. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden Dec 16, 2007 Bottle. Amber/brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is light roasted malts. Sweet caramel taste. Skinnyviking (2635), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 1, 2007 Draught. High creamy white short head. Clear dark brown body. Sweet berries caramel aroma with a bit of cocoa as well. Mild berries flavor with little carbonation and a short sweet aftertaste.
