KimJohansen (4296), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 20, 2008 Clear deep reddish amber with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with toasted malt, caramel and hoppy notes. Sweet flavour with citric, caramel and hoppy notes that gives a bitter finish. screwball (703), Motala, Sweden Sep 8, 2008 Bottle. Amber body. Off-white head. Aroma is loaded with lots of hops, wood and smook. Palate is harsh and dry. Because of all the hops. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 15, 2008 Bottle at Nya Tröls, Malmö.
Hazy orange coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Fruity and hoppy aroma of pine needles and grass.
Fruity flavour of hops and pine needles with some sweetness and notes of grass and yeast.
Dry hoppy finish. Ljunkan (143), Karlstad, Sweden Aug 13, 2008 This was weird! Not what I’ve expected since I knew this should be a India Pale Ale. Aroma of banana (!); it feels very weissbier-like when I smell the beer. The taste is of banana/wheat-like notes and a spicy, almost perfume-like hop flavour in a weird way. It’s interesting and feels like a mix of wheat beer and a IPA. Good, but I almost thought that something was wrong first. Nice and fun that Ölands is experimenting though.
