theisti (1014), Leawood, Kansas, USA May 9, 2008 330 ml bottle purchased at the Vín Búđ - Kringlan, Reykjavik, Iceland. Pour is golden with a two inch snow white head. A few carbonation bubbles are present. Nice pretty lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemon floral and orange hips. Very clean and fresh nose. Taste is a nice balance between the lemon and floral hops from the nose and an earthy / mineral maltiness. Medium palate. Quite drinkable, and quite good.
bee__R (15), Italy Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Maybe one of the very few drink that could be named "beer" in Iceland... Pale amber colour, quite scarce white head. Perceptible fruity and malty nose but not persistent. Good carbonation and bitter taste. Too thin body according to me. Geth_in_beer (663), Nova Scotia, Canada Aug 9, 2008 From bottle. Honey, malt, fruity apricot aroma. Copper in colour with a thin white head. Sweet, smooth texture. Bitter finish, could be a little metallic. Probably my favourite Iceland beer. Beth101 (100), West Yorkshire, England Aug 8, 2008 Dark honey colour no head . Strong smell of fish with a slight peachy aroma . Abit of carbonation. Had a taste of hops with a strange aftertaste. Zoink (3), roskilde, Denmark does not count Aug 4, 2008 God Damm ... this is by all means the best beer from Iceland at all ... it just kick the Viking gold off the edge down Hekla to burn for ages ... can’t waith for the next Icelandic blast ... Thumbs up and cheers jimhilt (1397), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jul 27, 2008 Pours a one finger white head that lasts leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Malty/hoppy nose. Flavor is almost balanced leaning to hoppy, slight bitter finish. 330ml bottle 249 ISK ~ $2.99 Vínbúőin Hvolsvelli, Iceland. The name means earthquake - very appropriate for the country. From my notes - 7/22/2008.
