Beer_2000 (1269), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 28, 2008 750 ml bottle. Brown body with a dense off-white head. Complex aroma of sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, spices and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, light roasted malt, caramel, dry fruit, some alcohol and a hint of cellar notes. Full bodied and extremely well balanced. Actually the balance is so perfect that it’s difficult to sense the flavors after the first sips. Then just getting better and more flavorful for each sip. bb (2131), Martinez, California, USA Sep 22, 2008 Bottle. Caramel-brown beer with a big tan head. Caramel, yeasty aroma with fig and raisin. Fig, raisin, date flavor with yeast and rich malt. Medium-plus bodied. Rich yeasty, stone fruit, and malt lingers. Nice complexity - some darker malts present. Very good. glkaiser (998), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 20, 2008 Thanks to bitbucket tasting. Notes are getting thin....dark brown with medium head. Lots of dark fruits and caramel mix together to make this quite enjoyable. JK54B (385), Finland Sep 14, 2008 Nice brownish colour. A soft taste with some hints of caramel and spices. Also slight hoppiness. A 0.75L bottle tasted at Pikkulintu. MiP (6018), Flensburg, Germany Sep 10, 2008 Bottle, 8.5%. Malty and sweet aroma. Cloudy dark red and brown aroma. Lost of floaties. Small tan head. Good malty flavour, lots of dried fruits. Gets a little yeasty as it warms. Very well-balanced. Good alcohol level to match the maltiness.
