Commercial Description:
An Ølfabrikken guest brew. For the third time we have invited one of our colleagues to come by and do any brew he or she would like. Gunnhild Kolvereid Brewmaster at Brewpub Copenhagen has made a sour brown ale brewed with a normal Belgian ale yeast as well as brettanomyces, pediococcus and lactic acid bacteria. The beer has been matured on french oak and sour cherries and bottle conditioned for six moths before release. It is bottled with brettanomyzes which provides the beer with a nice sparkle underscoring the refreshing sourness. Unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

Comments: Kinda spicy, very sharp, earthy and VERY sour beer whose low ratings surprise me a bit. I found it brilliant and if the carbonation was aggressive indeed, the body underneath was relatively round and stuffy enough if you just swirled it around a bit before gulping.

What a very pleasant surprise - Hazy orange brown body, lasting beige head; Beautiful right Oude Bruin nose, with lots of cherry as a fresh slightly sour touch on the side; Huge big bubbled carbonation, sour, soft textured body, lacks depth which I guess would arrive with some more time in the bottle; Long sour growing finish, it does again need a little more time to become really sour, cherry pit aromas are at the forefront with straight malt aromas in the back. Great beer, looking forward to (hopefully) taste this again later.

Draught. Amber coloured. Quite murky. Desne light brown head. Fruity with a subtle sourness in the aroma. Has loads of berries. Flavour as well has the fruits and berries. Is a bit on the sweet side, but a nice sourness is balancing the brew. Is very easy to drink. Medium to full bodied. Dry. Light sour fruity sweetness ends this beer. Nice.

Courtesy Papsoe. Amber/ruby/brown and a small, cream colored head. Lots of funky brett, cherries, oak, lightly toasted malt, and lactic and pedio tartness. Medium body, well carbonated. Very dry finish. Solid.
