Clear dark brown color, big tan head. Malty, sweet and roasted scent, though rather mild. A bit acidic as well. Sweet, roasted, coffee and alcohol taste. Also a bit acidic here. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Old amautør rating: Hazy dark brown color with small off-white head. Malty and sweet aroma: Taste is roasted and sweet.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours a clear, ruby body under a small, beige head. Roasted nose with some fruits, dried mostly, and a bready aroma. Sweet and roasted flavor with some caramel and a hint of dms. Full-bodied and smooth in the mouth. Lasting, roasted finish with hints of chocolate. A quite nice bock, although maybe a bit boring. 0.75 l bottle at PBF. Ruby color with creamy head. Caramelly, vinous, berryish, nutty and chocolatey with notes of red wine. Dryish, caramelly, toasty, nutty and chocolatey flavor. Aroma is much better but the flavor is somewhat stale and acrid.

Bottle. Red dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted, malt, hop, spices. flavour is sweet, roasted, malt, hop, spices, caramel. Full bodied nice beer.

Nut brown with a small head.Aroma of coffee and raisins with some roasted notes.The roast flavors is much more distinct in the mouth.Very balanced and nice.Some dryness in the finish.Medium body.I could probably drink a couple of these.

Bottled at PBF. Mahogany colour, brief head. Coffee and molasses up front. Sweet and viscously malty. Full bodied with worty caramel and bread. Feels rounded but never soft in the mouth. Low bitterness.

(Bottled, 0.75l, 2008 vintage) Dark brown with a very small head. Aroma of caramel-syrupy maltiness, with anise and other spices. Roasted-malty, syrupy flavor with some hop bitterness and licoricey notes. Medium body, low carbonation. A good beer, but nothing special.

Bottled 0,75 l (PBF, vintage 2008). Clear dark nut brown color, no head. Rye-bready roasted aroma. Roasted malts, rye-bread, caramel, some grassy hoppyness. Quite German bock. Pleasant, although not very interesting.

Bottled. Deep brownish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is spiced, caramel malts, mild roast as well as some slight alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is rye, spices, caramel mlts, some alcohol and syrupy.

Bottled. A dark chestnut colored beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of pumpernickle bread, caramel, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, alcohol, bread, brown sugar, malt, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks Mike.
