OleR (1434), Oslo, Norway Jan 8, 2007 500 ml bottle, thanks to Beer 2000. Pours jet black with a beautiful chocolate head. Rich aromas of espresso coffee, roasted malt and black chocolate. Scents of smoke and acidic fruits. Full-flavored. Roasty, malty, sweet and bitter. Coffee, dried dark fruits, citrus, caramel, tar... You name it! Powerful and extremely well rounded. Fat body, thick and smooth mouthfeel. Dry and lingering bitter chocolate finish. A fantastic beer, I’ve got me a new favorite...
DTM (453), Winters, California, USA Jan 6, 2009 Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Poured so thick I thought I was drinking an imperial stout. Tasted of chocolate and roasted malts. Smooth and creamy on the palate. I was a bit skeptic about the 8.50 price tag for a bomber, but it was well worth it. hrking (64), Muncie, Indiana, USA Jan 4, 2009 This is hands down the best porter I have ever had. Chocolate creamy smoothness. If I didn’t know it was a porter I would swear it was a stout. This beer was so dangerously creamy and smooth it was like drinking chocolate milk. Nice tan head excellent nose and the taste is something that leaves you wanting more. This is without a doubt the best porter you would ever want to consume NOTHING else comes close. RECOMMEND. IDunno19 (49), Ames, Iowa, USA Jan 3, 2009 Truly impressive beer. Pours black with a dark leather colored head. Nose full of char, smoke, coffee, and sweet licorice hops. Notes of coffee, hops, dark toast, oak, and overwhelming chocolate backed by smoke are smooth on the finish for a delicious, drinkable beer. martinboer (118), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jan 3, 2009 Sep 15, 2007
