Ungstrup (10415), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 22, 2005 An unclear red-amber beer with a small light brown collapsing head. The aroma is slightly hoppy combined with notes of citrus. The flavor contains nice amounts of hops, combined with sweet notes of caramel and flowers. The end is a little too sweet for my liking and more dry than bitter. The rye gives it a good body, but the body is a little sticky. omhper (9704), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 25, 2005 Bottled at RBESG. Hazy amber. Rich grapefruity nose. Soldly malty, yet completely hop dominated. The cookie-like malt character doesn’t have a chance against the grapefruity and lychhee like hops, but least it provides a soft foundation for them. The bitterness is powerful and lingering. A very enjoyable beer, that in my opinion is one of the best Denmark has to offer. Papsoe (9242), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 23, 2005 (On tap) Very dark amber colour, almost brown and completely opaque. Very fine, creamy, Guinness-like head. Nice flowery, hoppy aroma and the aroma hops also dominate the taste. But a crude and brutal bitterness spoils a lot of the fun for me making this hard to finish. 130505 Oakes (6529), Miami Beach, Canada Oct 11, 2005 Quite hazy amber colour. Fresh hop aroma of canteloupe, pine needles, kumquat. Moderate bitterness with very woody hop character to the edge of astringency. Toasty, slightly caramelly malt notes. sk8viking (5995), Copenhagen, Denmark May 29, 2005 Draught. Murky brown colour with a off-white head. Hoppy light fruity aroma and a hoppy bitter dry fruity taste. Medium body and a light bitter dry finish.
