HomerSlottved (3), Denmark does not count Feb 8, 2008 My favorite ipa - Full of malty spices, intense aroma an a benchmark hoppy flavour. My heart is full of sorrow for the heroic brewer who crafted this masterpiece but now has lost his brewery! Blom (559), Odense, Denmark Feb 25, 2008 Updated: Feb 26, 2008Amber, creamy head. Grande aroma of
blood orange, metal, grape. The flavour harbours a tremendous clash of bitter citrus and sugarsweet perfume. It finishes with a bit of alcohol. To me this beer is amazing and proves the point that Ølfabrikken cannot only compete with but also on occasion overtake Mikkeller as the best Danish Microbrewery. GRRREEAT grapefruit bitterness balanced by the bread/grain solidness beerbrat99 (117), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 25, 2008 Crowned bottle. Copper color with slight turbidy, like a bottle conditioned IPA although I don’t know if it’s bottle conditioned. Great head retention and lacing. Big citrus aroma with highlights of grapefruit, lemon, pine and some spiciness. The flavor is the same with richness and complexity. The finish is hoppy but refreshing and does not linger too long. Nice job Danes! Bov (4429), Bienne, Switzerland Jul 20, 2007 courtesy of Papsoe - cloudy dark reddish-brown colour with a big creamy beige head; huge hoppy aroma with notes of flowers, apricots, cream and mocha; a bit sticky, medium to full-bodied; robust bitterness; very long hoppy, earthy and bitter finish - complex; what a beer !
