Pinball (353), Allerød, Denmark May 2, 2008 Updated: May 9, 2008 Bottle, best before 2008 sep 05. Nice hoppy aroma, doesn’t let you know what’s coming. Looks okay, but foam is a bit thin. Flavor is honey and hops. also some brown sugar. Totally surprising since it didn’t smell that way. Tastes great but a little too much honey/caramel. You could pour it over cereral, lol.. Quite a surprise, but a nice beer. Not sure if it was intened to taste like this. Tried another bottle. The very sugary taste was less dominant. Now it’s even better.
austone (305), Turku; Pori, Finland Jul 27, 2008 I got the last drops from an old keg, so.. Murky and almost flat, a really depressing looking beer. Very fruity nose, mango and all sorts of jungle fruits, soft maltiness, dry rye. Similar fruity flavor with soft maltiness and balanced strong bitterness. I imagine this being heavenly in it’s prime. Definitely to be re-rated, if I can find it somewhere. Hansen (1658), Randers, Denmark Jul 4, 2008 Amber colour and unclear. Has a beige head, lasting. Aroma has notes of laqurice, hops. Flavor is very bitter, nice. Strong body. The rye is difficult to find. charlotte (1163), Vanløse, Denmark Jun 24, 2008 Hazy Orange colour with large white fluffy head.Aroma is strong hoppy and bitter fruity with note of yeast.Well balanced with medium body.nice bitter finish. Crosling (1628), Loveland, Colorado, USA May 20, 2008 Draught, Bishop’s Arms, Stockholm, Sweden. Light bronze colored beer wit a thin layered foam. Aroma is substantially hoppy with a nice juiciness and floral character and some sweet fruits. Flavor is pretty terrific with loads of tropical fruits, a dry and intense hop character. Finish lingers well. This is a damn good IPA. JMFG (1086), Florida, USA May 15, 2008 Courtesy SoLan. Dark, dark mahogany color with an even, persistent tan head. Grassy perfumey hop aroma, pepper and malt notes. Nice robust citric hop character over malts; the malts are hefty and leave some sweetness behind. A well done IPA.
