DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Feb 17, 2008 Bottle from Pivni Galerie. Went for that foil-wrapped neck like a sucker. Headess murky amber haze swirled with white. Buttery malt aroma with wafer, apple juice, antiseptic (honey)and sneaking pine. Quite a chewy body. Bit sweet and sickly with that beeswax and buttery malt to the fore. Vanilla, ladles more honey, unhoppy bitterness trying to compensate.....struggling for balance but far from vile.
