Bottle. Pours apricot gold. White head. Nose/taste of spicy hops, yeast, water taffy, lemongrass and orange peel. Alcohol noticeable in finish. Lots of spicy hops on the palate. Water taffy only mildly in taste but heavy in the nose. Medium body.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Travlr (4505) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 22, 2011
Bottle at DHL. Cloudy golden color, massive ice cream cone head. Aroma of cut grass and licorice. Taste is bitter throughout, approaching an American IPA Balanced, with a dry finish. Not really a tripel, but very tasty.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUL 4, 2011

Swing top bottle purchased at Spirits Point Beach. Poured a deep orangey that was slightly hazy with smaller bubly white heads. Aroma is swet, sugary, green apples, dough, yeast and fruity. The flavor is drier then the aroma and just rather dry for a tripel, however there is a short lived midway burst of sweetness, along with dough, yeast and apple. Thin almost watery body with soft carbonation and a sweet aftertaste. Meh drinkable but not good for a great style.

330 ml. bottle. Pours a medium long lived white head, over a hazy gold (SRM 5) body....nose is light pear, apple, bit of honey.....taste is light pear, apple, then a slight rubbery chemical tone, finishing with a honey, pepper bite...mouth feel medium, carbonation high. This is a quite typical, also average Tripel. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6
