Capa (770), Yokosuka, Japan Jun 2, 2008 Bottle at Frigo, Tokyo. Full, copper orange. Sweet malts, fresh fruits, floral, citrus, and apple. Flavor is similar with powerful fruit notes. Alcohol becomes noticeable as it finishes. Medium, sticky body. Pretty interesting and tasty brew.
KimJohansen (5208), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 31, 2008 Cloudy amber with large off white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with coriander and fruity notes. Flavour likewise and it finished nicely dry. Good amount of coriander. Crosling (1730), Loveland, Colorado, USA Dec 25, 2008 Dulled golden colored Belgian, with ample foam. Really generic Belgian aroma, shows light notes of peach cobbler. Flavor leans towards the sweeter end of things. Notes of caramel and toffee, with sweet pie. A nice ale, but below average for a Belgian Tripel. bu11zeye (4066), Frisco, Texas, USA Dec 22, 2008 (33cl bottle, BB 11/09) Pours cloudy golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of grass, lemon, caramel, yeast, and pepper. Flavor of yeast, apple, light orange, and some herbs. daniele (992), Italy Nov 26, 2008 Chira schiuma media abbastanza persistente cereaòi òegero luppolo malto doscreto corpo mnediamente secca tendente lupolata ma non olto amara fata2683 (270), APO, New York, USA Nov 21, 2008 Bottle(tripel) pours a shiney orange with a very light white head(huge bubbles.) Smells citrusy and sweet with some alcohol on the nose as well as some light malt aromas. Without a doubt the best tripel I’ve ever had. Sweet, but not overly, vibrantly fresh, the bitterness is very in your face it’s hard to forget about it. There is good malt flavors and the yeast characters just add to the wonderful flavors. This is a treat.
