sayravai (3048), Helsinki, Finland Jul 21, 2007 (Bottled, 2007 version, 8% ABV) Hazy golden (muddy light brown with yeast) with a smallish-medium head. Pretty grainy-malty, sweetish and caramely aroma with cardamom. Likely grainy cardamom flavor. IMO, it tastes pretty much like spoiled, but maybe it’s supposed to be this way after all. Yeast softens the flavor a bit, but it remains very grainy, spicy and a bit ashy. Medium-bodied, quite foamy-carbonated palate. Definitely not a beer for my liking.
plovmand (578), Helsinge, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Bottle. Hazy yellow with a medium white head. Yeasty aroma with bread notes. Flavour is spicy and yeaty with a good malt base. Smooth palate. Good. Dedollewaitor (2047), Odense, Denmark Aug 26, 2008 33cl bottle. Thanks to Plovmand. Pours hazy yellow with a egg white head. Nose & taste is complex of yeast & spices. Smooth palate. Very nice! BartC (250), Lichtaart, Belgium Apr 25, 2008 Although hardly a year old, the beer is definitely aged and it has aged very well. Orange-yellowish beer. Sweet aroma’s and taste. A bit of fruitiness (coriander, mango) and madeira. Bitterness is completely gone. Although nicely aged, I still prefer the fresh one. jbrus (4127), Delft, Netherlands Feb 24, 2008 Bottle@Home. Citrus, green apples and ginger aroma. Light hazy, yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, maty, apple, ginger and a hint of madeira. Full and warming. Surprising beer, flavorful and quite special. Tranquillity (1069), Espoo, Finland Feb 14, 2008 330ml bottle @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Belgian Week 2008. Hazy body, small white head. Aroma of honey, a bit spiky. Taste a bit bitter, honey, some herbs. Long finish, spicy.
