Bottle:   Dirty orangish straw, thick, moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Vinous nose, a bit sweet, a touch bready.   Vinous and oaky on the tongue, warming as well.   Can feel the 10%, albeit its not hot.   Smooth, a little buttery sweet but not in a bad way.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Sweet finish, bready, oak, vinous, with a very soft fruity flair.   Decent concoction.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark copper color with a medium white head. A fresh fruity vinous nose, woody. The flavor is dry malty, certainly the base Golden ale is there, fresh wine barrels. Light spices, banana. OK. The barrel is very big.

This one poured a golden color with a white head. Aroma was of Belgian yeast, candy sugar, red wine, and tannins. Flavor was lightly funky, barrel character, some sweetness, and grapes.

Bottle @ The BeerMongers... Poured golden with a thin head. Aroma was vinous, oaky, and candied like. Flavor didn’t have as much of a barrel flavor that I hoped for but still a little vinous with sugary malty tones. Not A whole lot of yeast presence or esters, hoping some time will change that.

Bottle at the Boise BP hazy golden pour with a thin fine white skin. Fruity spcy aroma. Light malty a little belgianish. Some cider notes and warm alcohol burn. The barrel aging is subtle and nice.

Pours a golden ,color with two fingers of fizzy white foam. Lots of sweet corn pops, spicy yeast, round cereal grain, toasted caramel some underlying complexity of tannic fruit but it is very subtle. Lots of carbonation.

Bottle. Golden pour with a bit of white head that dissipates quickly. Pinot comes through in the aroma more than in the taste. Taste is somewhat phenolic. Heavy, thick, alcohol ... grapes still there as well, but mostly a heavy and thick golden ale. Overall: The label goes into detail about golden ales not generally going into barrels, and wine barrels at that ... I applaud that brewers out there are taking changes and trying different stuff, but this is one that really doesn’t work at all for me. Hard to finish even a 6 oz glass.

22oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a tiny bubble white cap that retains pretty nicely, settling to a dense rope and large bubble islands. Aroma of sweaty sock yeast, peach, grape skin, a touch of wood, straw. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter. Medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Dry finish.
