COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA. HOPS: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade Bu: 65 ABV: 6.5% Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

From bottle. Pours bright orange with white head. Decent citrus nose with some sweet malt. Crisp carbonated fruity hops and somewhat bitter finish. Pretty standard fare for an IPA. The name is over the top. Itís no apocalypse. Above average but the name seems over-marketed like some of Ninkasiís offerings.

Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. Pours a cloudy light orange to copper color with a very fizzy beige head. Aroma is spicy wet hops, syrup and leafy notes. Flavor is dry, dry bitter hops and a sharp flavor that aims through the finish. A bit sharp.

Slightly hazy amber color, small off-white head. Tropical fruity, hoppyness, caramel malty notes. Medium-bodied. Front is kind of crystal malty, caramelly with some berries too. Finish has hoppy bitterness and moderate alcohol. Less bitter than name claims :)

On tap @ 10 Barrel. Deep amber with a thin beige head. Big PacNW hop aroma and a bit of caramel malt. Flavor is a great balance of bitter hops and some sweet malt. Medium body with active carbonation and a clean mouth feel. Nice beer, slight above average IPA.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2012 Nice-looking beer. Curiously fruity nose. Big, red apple flavors followed. Soft mouthfeel. Lightish. Easy to drink. Earthy, grassy and juicy hops with a mild albeit zingy and drying bitterness. Toasty, nutty and grainy malts with a mild sweetness. Overall, itís pleasant and balanced.

From the 220z bottle. Hazy amber pour with a thin white head. Huge pine, grapefruit hop aroma, very pungent. Big malt body with a nice touch of caramel malt and a balanced citrus, pine hop bitterness in the taste. The bitterness does not take over the taste, making this very smooth to drink. Well done.
