medium dark orange/brown. caramel malt is overblown and adds an unnecessarily chewy and syrupy character. orange liqueur and wood resin hop oil flavor. medium-low bitterness for the style. candied artificial orange flavoring, lacquer and crystal malt ruin this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber shared with Leems. Poured a hazy copper color with a fairly thick head, but very little retention of lacing. Aroma was citrus, resinous and had a light bit of dark malt, surprisingly enough. Flavor was full of grapefruit and lemony hops, but had too much of a biscuit malt backing it for someone who loves huge IPAs as much as I do. Not a bad offering, but a little disappointing compared to their delicious Sinistor.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2010 This looks like an IPA, the aroma is a little light, not upfront hoppy enough. Flavor is kind of bland, some caramelly malt and some pine hop. Not too much going on here.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at Henry’s. Hoppy with some fruit flavor. Malty body. More English in style than West Coast, so I’d want more of that West Coast hops. Otherwise, enjoyable.

I liked this beer, but it wasn’t as crazy wicked hoppy as I was perhaps expecting.
Definitely a golden orange beer with a fluffy head. The aroma is piney and some citrus as are the flavor.

Sampled in a 22oz bottle. Pours deep brownish orange. A true IPA. Full of strong hops and soft malts. They really run out the flavor. Served this very cold but the aroma and hops really showed out of it. Great brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy amber with a thin-medium beige head. The aroma is full of piny hops. The flavor follows that aroma, with plenty of pine resin, and a uniquely toasted malt foundation. Refreshing. Really nicely balanced.
