A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA.

Hops: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade
Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

A hazy, gold pour with a white head. The aroma has a big dose pine along with some herbal hops. It has a medium body with lively carbonation. The bitter taste has a long finish.

This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a semi-hazy to burnt somewhat golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated extremely slowly. Some bubbles here and there inside of the foaminess. The smell started off with some faded grassy to citrus hops sliding into a crisp sweet caramel malt backbone. The taste was moderately sweet to bitter through the prior mentioned flavors. Citrusy hoppy to semi-malty aftertaste runs into a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent crisp sweet sessionable feel about it. Carbonation seems decent for the style and to me. Overall, its a pretty good AIPA. Maybe not one to seek and destroy on a daily basis, but I could have it again. I do have to admit, this almost seemed a bit old, but there’s no bottling date, so, my words stand.

Light amber in color with very little head. Aroma of pine and herb. Some sweetness in the aroma from the malt. Pronounced earthy, herbal flavor. Slight balance of malts with the bitterness of hops. Light mouthfeel with very little carbonation. Lasting aftertaste. Warming and dry. Nice fresh beer.

Poured from the 12oz bottle into a shaker. Amber almost mahogany color with a cream colored head. Aroma is predominantly citrusy hops. Flavor is bready malt with lots of citrusy hops and some piney notes as well. Medium bodied, crisp, and mildly astringent. Very nice IPA.

Flight pour on tap at the brewpub (Bend, OR). Pours a nbice gollden amber glowing hue, healthy gllow compliments a subtle haze and some lively bubbles. Offwhite head atop dies to a mellow layer, thicker ringer with ok lacing atop. Aromas are a bit bitter and biting, some citric grapefruit, firmer to potent florals and decent malty body falls behind that more intriguing fresh hop nose. Initial is sufficiently bitter, the lighter end of medium in body with florals, subtle pineapple and decent bitterness growing on the palate. Earth, green leafy life and florals meet a gentle sweeter body beneath, mixing with sweeter pineapple stale juicy jabs. Some firmer spicy, bitter earthy backend is dry, sufficiently bitter. Less ABV hit than the Joe but that one had a more intriguing hop profile. Fairly drinkable, fuzzy backend and finish. A solid fresher appeal with bitter firmer hops, solid if unspectacular or unmoving nose. Solid stuff

Really solid commercial deScription on this one that lends to most of the tasting notes I would have given it. Resinous but balanced, solid IPA.
